We joined the Expresso family on air to share the story of We Give Toys: how a grassroots donation drive puts toys, food, and comfort into the hands of children across South Africa, and how everyday people can be part of it.

We took the mission to the streets for our first ever Toy Run at the Ommiedraai 10km Road Race. Runners, families, and community members came together to donate toys, food, and hope. This is what happens when a community decides to show up for its children.

We partner with running clubs, schools, corporates, and community events to set up donation collection points. If you're organising a fun run, sports day, or community gathering, let's bring toys to the children who need them most.

We Give Toys was founded with a simple yet powerful belief: every child, regardless of their circumstances, deserves to experience the joy, comfort, and developmental benefits that toys bring. We collect new and gently used toys from generous donors and distribute them to children in underprivileged communities across South Africa.
While toys are at the heart of what we do, we also warmly welcome donations of food, blankets, clothing, and toiletries, because every bit of care helps a child in need.

Our team carefully sorts, cleans, and packages each item to ensure it's ready to bring comfort and joy.
